Every year, Stoke Mandeville Spinal Research (SMSR) commits to funding pioneering research into spinal cord injury including current active projects looking at neuropathic pain, pressure ulcers, urinary tract infections, and upper limb function.

By making a donation to our work, we can ensure imminent research studies into pain management and prevention of urinary infections can continue.

With your help, we can continue to support people living with spinal cord injury, and help improve their quality of life and wellbeing, now and in the future.

£20 Covers the cost of sterilizing and preparing essential instruments used by a researcher to analyse clinical samples (e.g. blood or urine) collected during a trial.

£30 Could buy a single diagnostic test or analysis kit used in a clinical trial to measure the effectiveness of a new therapy (for instance, tracking nerve function or muscle activity).

£50 Could buy a full assessment kit used to measure a participant's progress in a mobility trial, such as sensors to accurately track walking speed, limb movement, or dexterity over a session.
